Yes I’ve made cornbread before, but this time I used blue cornmeal instead of yellow cornmeal, and what a treat it was! Everyone loved it, but that doesn’t surprise me one bit.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1 c. corn meal
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1 c. milk
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil
Directions:
- Sift flour, corn meal, baking powder, sugar and salt together
- Add the egg, milk and oil
- Mix and put batter in a greased 8×8 baking pan
- Bake at 350 for 1/2 hour or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
